Program note
This work approaches the voice as a threshold rather than a vehicle of meaning: a place where sound hovers between emergence and disappearance, between the primordial and the expressive. Rather than seeking clarity or narrative resolution, the music inhabits zones of semantic shadow — the space between sound production and perception, where meaning is sensed rather than named.
The voice unfolds with restraint, avoiding theatrical excess in favor of a fragile, exposed presence, always on the verge of silence or saturation. Form is conceived as porous and fragmented: not a linear trajectory, but a constellation of tensions, frictions, and suspended gestures. In this landscape, musical knowledge is not the ability to answer questions, but the capacity to dwell within them.
Time is treated not as a measurable flow, but as something testified through sound — a fragile narration carved out of discontinuity. What emerges is a music of distance and intensity, where expression contracts to its essential core, allowing the listener to encounter the voice as both human trace and elemental force.
